The season draws to a close. All of our shows are up and open, and look great. I am so sad to see everyone go- I had such a blast! We worked so hard and had so much fun, and even got to have adventures outside of work. Isn't that what summerstock is all about?
Here we are in front of the brick wall from The Glass Menagerie for one last shop pic:
Above from Left: Katie Fry (Scenic Charge Artist) Natalie Lape, Daina Cramer, Jen Blazinger (Assistant Scenic Charge Artist), Me, and Kelsey Lueken, our junior.
I snapped some shots of our sets all put together and set for opening, but I'll have to wait to post pictures of them during the show.
The Music Man:
Here are a few detail shots of the completed wood that we had carved with the dremel tools earlier.
Here you can see not only the carving of the grain, but also the washy paint treatment.
Here is a shot of the train car for The Music Man. I led the painting of its wood grain.
And here is a detail shot of the back of the train car seat.
The Glass Menagerie:
The brick wall from behind Glass Menagerie. Complete with gross city stains, cement patches.
Detail shot of the brick. They were applied masonite blocks covered in texture.
Noises Off:
